File formats

AI: AI files are Adobe Illustrator files. AI files are vector format and are resolution independent and can be enlarged or reduced without loss of quality or resolution. AI files cannot be opened or placed in Microsoft Office applications.

JPG: JPG files are bitmap images. They can be used for web or on-screen presentations. A JPG can be used with Microsoft Office applications.

PNG: PNG files are the same as JPG, but have a transparent background. They may be used for web or on-screen presentations. PNG files can be used with Microsoft Office applications.

TIF: TIF files are bitmaps and have a solid colour background. Scaling a bitmap is not recommended. WARNING: It's a big file! These are not recommended for Microsoft Office applications.

EPS: EPS files have no background, and are supplied for use with professional design software like Adobe InDesign or Illustrator. EPS files are vector format and are resolution independent and can be enlarged or reduced without loss of quality or resolution. EPS files cannot be opened or placed in Microsoft Office applications.
