BC Film Commission statistics show film and television production in British Columbia contributed $943 million to the provincial economy in 2007.

MAILLARDVILLE – Minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts Stan Hagen presented a $50,000 grant to the city of Coquitlam and Le Festival du Bois on behalf of the Province for le Village de la Francophonie.

VICTORIA – An award winning concert band from L.V. Rogers secondary school in Nelson will take part in the Beijing Cultural Olympiad next month with help from a $50,000 provincial grant, announced Stan Hagen, Minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts.
