The world of digital media is rapidly evolving, and BC media artists and companies need to act quickly to maintain a creative and competitive edge.
BC Film and the BC Arts Council are partnering to help artists succeed in the world of Interactive media. With funding provided by the 2010 Sports and Arts Legacy, The Council and BC Film are offering two new programs.
The Interactive Fund is designed to help artists and companies producing or creating content for interactive platforms, including websites, handheld devices and consoles. Successful applicants can receive a non-recoupable advance of up to $50,000.
The Digital Media Development Envelope targets B.C. based TV and film production companies looking to develop interactive media content and products, to help them grow their business and take advantage of emerging markets and platforms. Successful applicants can receive a non-recoupable advance of up to $25,000.
