Unique Opportunities
Gravity defying dance, rousing music and a new spin on graffiti art today are just some of the performances and exhibitions audiences will enjoy as part of the 2010 Cultural Olympiad, one of the prestigious events the BC Arts Council is supporting through its Special Projects – Unique Opportunities funding program.
The Special Projects – Unique Opportunities program supports extraordinary production costs incurred by professional B.C. arts organizations for projects scheduled as part of significant national or international cultural events.
Over the next five years, a number of special events such as the Venice and Sydney Biennales, New York Art Book Fair and Shanghai Expo 2010 will provide even more opportunities to demonstrate the outstanding calibre of the arts in B.C. The Unique Opportunities program assists arts organizations that plan to take full advantage of involvement in such opportunities.
