The BC Arts Council acknowledges it carries out its work on the land of First Nations throughout British Columbia. We pay our respects to the Elders and Knowledge Keepers, past and present, descendants and custodians of these lands and waters. We are grateful for the continuing relationships with Indigenous Peoples that develop through our work together. We acknowledge and raise our hands to the lək ̓ ʷəŋən (Lkwungen) People, known today as the Songhees and xʷsepsəm (Kosapsum) Nations, on whose lands we operate our main offices.
