Carey Fouks has been Partner and Principal of the Rennie Collection for 24 + years. The Collection is internationally recognized as one of Canada’s most respected contemporary art collections. It is the largest private collection of contemporary art in Canada; focusing on works related to identity and social justice, it is comprised of large-scale installation-based work, painting sculpture and photography. The Collection is dedicated to the acquisition of both established and emerging artists. Currently, there are approximately 40 artists collected in depth with approximately 575 artists represented in the approximately 4000 titles. The Collection and the Rennie Foundation provide a locus of support to significant educational and philanthropic efforts with a particular focus on arts and culture. Carey was also responsible for the fabrication and installation of the first Dan Graham Pavilion in Canada.
