The BC Arts Council (BCAC) is pleased to share its 2025/26 Annual Report. The report provides an overview of funding distributed throughout the province and offers insights into sector trends and priorities to help inform future investments and support for the arts and culture sector.

As the Province’s primary arts funding agency, BCAC supports artists and arts organizations, expands access to arts and culture, and strengthens communities throughout B.C.

In 2025/26, BCAC provided more than $36 million in funding to nearly 1,400 recipients, helping them develop their work, reach more people, and strengthen spaces for arts and culture.

“Arts and culture play an important role in supporting vibrant communities, creating jobs and celebrating diversity throughout British Columbia. Through the BC Arts Council, artists and organizations can continue to do this important work, helping tell the stories that connect us and creating art that inspires us.”

Anne Kang, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport
