The BC Arts Council is excited to have a fresh new look for our website. From our consultation with the sector in Spring 2019, we heard loud and clear that while the content on our previous site was helpful, we needed to streamline navigation, improve user experience, and shed the Web 1.0 look of our long-standing site.

The programs themselves have not changed. This website redesign is focused on making it easier to access and learn about what the BCAC is all about, with a focus on the core of the work we do: our grant programs. All of our programs are now searchable by applicant type, discipline and program type so you can quickly identify which types of funding may be applicable to you.

We are also in the process of developing an online application system where you will be able to view and manage your profile, application history and final reporting in one location, accessible anywhere at any time. Watch this space for news and updates about the piloting and launch of our grant management system.

As we transition to implementing our new strategic plan, introducing a new website and launching our first-ever online grant management system, we welcome and encourage feedback and input along the way. Feel free to contact us at any time – we will also be soliciting regular feedback and user testing. As always, direct support through our program officers and administration is the centre of the work we do and service we provide. This will remain our bedrock as we transition to using new tools to better serve the arts and culture sector in B.C.
