We’re pleased to announce that Operating Assistance: Community Arts Organizations program is open for intake.

Operating Assistance: Community Arts Organizations provides funding to assist the general operations of established community-based non-profit arts organizations working in community engaged arts through a range of artistic and cultural programming. The program is intended for organizations that sustain an annual community-based artistic program encompassing creation activities, organizational / artistic / cultural development, production, dissemination, exhibition and public presentation.

The Operating Assistance program supports organizations’ operations over a funding cycle of two years.

There are three components to Operating Assistance: Community Arts Organizations:

  1. Basic Assistance: Award level is a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $20,000 annually.
  2. Local Matching Funds: Awards may be eligible for 100% matching funding to a maximum of $5,000 annually.
  3. Capacity and Program Development: Award level is a maximum of $10,000 annually.

Deadline to apply: September 15, 2022

BC Arts Council Info Session: Community Arts Operating Assistance

Join BC Arts Council Program Advisors for the upcoming Operating Assistance: Community Arts Organizations Information Session. BC Arts Council Program Advisors will go over the Community Arts Operating Assistance intake for 2022/23 with time for Q&A. Attendees are encouraged to review the Operating Assistance program guidelines in advance to get the most from this info session.
