There are two upcoming vacancies on our Council.

We are looking for new members to play an active role in shaping the direction of policy, programs and funding for arts and culture in British Columbia.

Council is made up of 15 members who broadly represent the different regions and the artistic communities of the province.

We recognize lived experience and volunteer roles as well as paid employment and other achievements. We want to hear from arts and culture enthusiasts with a broad range of backgrounds in arts, culture, community, and business environments.

We want to encourage women, visible minorities, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, persons of diverse sexual orientation, gender identity or expression (LGBTQ2S+), and others who would contribute to the diversity of Council to put their names forward. This is important to reflect the diversity of our province and our commitment to reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and access. We are interested in applicants from within our Designated Priority Groups policy, including underrepresented regions of the province.

Applications are handled by the Crown Agencies and Board Resourcing Office and appointments are made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. You can learn more and apply through the B.C. Government website.

The posting closes October 20, 2023. Stay tuned for applications to open again in the future with future vacancies.
