The BC Arts Council will distribute more than $12.4 million for artists and organizations throughout British Columbia. This year-end, one time funding from the Province will support the arts sector as it works towards recovery and renewal.

The $12.4 million is divided between resilience supplements and top up for the Arts Impact Grant.

The resilience supplements will distribute $7.9 million to more than 300 organizations currently receiving operating assistance. Organizations do not need to apply for the resilience supplement and will receive direct notification about the funding.

Additionally, $4.5 million will provide more grants under the Arts Impact Grant program, which closed for intake in January 2022. This responsive and flexible funding was designed for recipients to put funds towards a project that provides necessary and meaningful impact to their organization, practice, or community.
