Description

Operating Assistance: Community Arts Organizations provides funding to assist the general operations of established community-based non-profit arts organizations working in community engaged arts through a range of artistic and cultural programming. The program is intended for organizations that sustain an annual community-based artistic program encompassing creation activities, organizational / artistic / cultural development, production, dissemination, exhibition and public presentation.

This information is only for current Operating Assistance organizations.

An interim application is only required from current Operating Assistance organizations that are on Concerned Status. Application requirements were sent to these organizations in early August.

All current Operating Assistance organizations are required to update their profile in the grants management system including board and staff lists, upload the most recent financial statements and review any additional requirements by October 3, 2023.

If you have questions about what is required, please contact your program advisor.

Community Arts Organizations will need to continue receiving their annual cash support from local or regional governments (may include First Nations Band Councils and Trusts) to maintain Operating eligibility.

How to Apply

Operating Assistance program supports organizations’ operations over a funding cycle of two years. Applications for new applicants will open in 2024.

Interim applications are submitted through the Grant Management System.
